Harry Potter prequel sells for $50,000!
J.K Rowling auctioned off an 800 prequel book that took place three years before Harry Potter was born. The auction was held at Waterstone's in Piccadilly, London and all the money went towards English pen. J.K Rowling was very happy with the results of the auction and said she had fun writing this book, and that this will be the last book for the Harry Potter series.

Robert Knox Dead!
Robert Knox who is to portray the character 'Marcus Belby' in the upcoming Harry Potter movie The Half Blood Prince was stabbed to death on 5.25.08 outside a London bar. A crazy attacker went after him and his siblings but Robert blocked his siblings and ended up being stabbed. The Knox family is having disputes with Warner Bros. as to showing the scene that Robert is in. They say that it will just send out to the world 'The Boy that got Stabbed'.
So I am speaking on behalf of all the staff from Hogwarts Magic here and would just like to say Rest in Peace Robert Knox.

Deathly Hallows 2 Part
It is rumored that the director of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is thinking about doing that they wanted to do for Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire, and splitting the film into two parts. This method would be effective in showing the dramatic effect of the whole book instead of just select scenes that the director thinks are important.
"Years ago," he writes, "we briefly — and seriously — considered doing Goblet of Fire as two films. So this concept is not altogether new. As for Deathly Hallows, I intuited — almost from the first moments I began reading it and certainly once I’d finished — that to realize the story in a single film was going to be a tall order. Others in 'the group' felt similarly. So the idea of two films began to get kicked around as early as late summer of 2007. We didn’t take it lightly. But ultimately everyone felt that despite the challenges it would present, it was the most sound creative decision. I’m sure some will think we’re crazy.

J K Rowling's final adieu to Harry Potter
J K Rowling, the author of the iconic Harry Potter book series, has bid goodbye to the boy wonder and his friends in the form of a set of handwritten fairy tales.
The only catch is that you and I may not be able to read them as Rowling has given away six of the seven copies, all handwritten with her own drawings to a lucky few.
The seventh copy will be up for auction at London Sotheby's for the starting bid of $60,000, the proceeds of which will go to the Children's Voice Foundation, a charity that works with child victims of neglect and abuse in Eastern Europe.
The seven copies will not be published.
Speaking to BBC, Rowlings said the new work, titled The Tales of Beedle the Bard, was a 'wonderful way of saying goodbye' to the 'Harry Potter world'.
The writer had mentioned the tales in passing in her last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (when headmaster of Hogwarts school Albus Dumbledore gave the tales to Harry's friend, Hermione.)
As for the identity of those lucky six who got the tales, Rowling said she has given them to 'those most closely connected to the 'Harry Potter' books during the past 17 years.'

France's Crazy Potter Craze
The French edition of the seventh and final volume in the Harry Potter saga sold 1.15 million copies -- or half the copies printed -- in 48 hours, publishers Gallimard said on Tuesday.
The 2.3 million copies printed of "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows" -- titled "Harry Potter et les Reliques de la Mort" -- hit the bookshelves on Friday, more than three months after the boy wizard's fate was unveiled in the English-language edition.
J.K. Rowling's finale, released July 21, broke records, selling more than 11.35 million copies worldwide in just a day, including 2.65 million in Britain.
In France, the sixth volume in the series sold 800,000 copies in the first 24 hours in October 2005.

Dumbledore is Gay
Possibly the biggest piece of news since the release of Deathly Hallows just months ago, J.K Rowling has answered a teenagers question; "Does dumbledore every find true love?" with the answer of "Dumbledore is gay."
Rowling says “I was writing for seven years before the first book was published.” During that time, she was able to bring “all of my characters . . . more and more into focus.”
Tell us what you think. Does this change how you will read the books, does this change your fascination of the Harry Potter Novels?
